About This Place

Italian Lady Of Pinetop Cannoli Shack & Kitchen in Lakeside, AZ, is a charming Italian restaurant that masterfully blends the comforting richness of classic Italian fare with the playful sweetness of authentic desserts. Nestled at 1641 W White Mountain Blvd, this eatery offers a culinary journey through Italy with a menu that’s both inviting and irresistibly flavorful.

Step inside or enjoy their lovely outdoor seating area and you'll quickly discover why locals and visitors alike keep coming back. The moment you dig into one of their signature sandwiches—like the iconic Italian Hoagie, savory Meatball Sammie, or the beloved Italian Sub—you’ll notice the freshness and care packed into every bite. The bread is perfectly crusty on the outside yet soft inside, cradling layers of high-quality meats, cheeses, and crisp veggies. And when it comes to their meatballs, the praise is unanimous: tender, juicy, and bursting with authentic Italian seasoning, they redefine what a meatball sub should be. As one satisfied customer named Nolen put it, their meatballs are “lifechanging” and set a new standard that's hard to match.

Beyond sandwiches, the kitchen dazzles with comforting choices like the Classic Italian Beef and the warming French Onion Soup, perfect for cozying up on a cool Arizona day. For pasta lovers, the Cheese Ravioli delivers creamy, cheesy delight wrapped in tender pasta sheets, a true celebration of traditional Italian roots.

Dessert is where Italian Lady Of Pinetop Cannoli Shack & Kitchen truly shines. The Sicilian Cannoli is a must-try, with its delicate crispy shell enveloping a luxuriously smooth, slightly sweetened ricotta filling. For a more decadent finale, the Italian Lemon Cream Cake is a refreshing, tangy treat that balances sweetness and citrus in perfect harmony. Those with a fondness for brownies will delight in the Almond Joy Brownie—a rich, chocolatey bite with a nutty, coconut twist. And if you’re craving a refreshing beverage, their Blackberry Italian Soda or a vibrant Blue Razz Italian Ice provides a playful burst of bright flavor, cleansing the palate and adding a splash of color to your dining experience.

Patrons repeatedly highlight the warm, friendly service and genuine hospitality that make every visit feel like a gathering with family. Even amidst busy lunch rushes or last-minute visits, the staff’s kindness and attentiveness never falter, creating a welcoming atmosphere that complements the mouthwatering menu. Allen Allison’s praise exemplifies this sincerely heartfelt service, noting that despite arriving just before closing, the team’s warmth made their meal unforgettable.

While the eatery can get busy—and occasionally, the wait might stretch longer than expected, as Greg experienced—the skillful preparation of each dish makes every minute worthwhile. It’s a testament to the kitchen’s dedication to quality and flavor that patrons remain loyal and eager to return.

Whether you’re an aficionado of Italian cuisine or simply seeking a vibrant spot to enjoy hearty sandwiches, soul-soothing soups, and delectable desserts, Italian Lady Of Pinetop Cannoli Shack & Kitchen offers a dining experience that is both sincere and sensational. Wow! Just wow! This place is incredible. I had the joy of ordering the meatball sub, and all I can say is, life-changing. Both for the better and for the worst. I now know where the best meatballs this side of Italy are found, and now no meatball will ever be enjoyed the same way again. The standard has been established by you all. Keep up the amazing and great work, everyone. You are a true gem to the area. I will highly recommend this place to any and everyone.

My wife and I stopped in today just before closing and ordered an amazing hoagie and meatballs with a lemon cake dessert, let me just say this is now one of our favorite lunch spots on the mountain. The ladies serving us were as kind and friendly as you could get even when we arrived just a couple minutes before closing. We highly recommend this lunch spot to everyone who has not had the privilege of going.

We waited for an hour and a half for our food. I think they lost our ticket. We were the last people served even though many people came after us. That said the staff was friendly and the sandwiches made up for it. I would give a 5 star if it wasn’t for the wait but I am sure it was just a mistake. I wish I had a sandwich shop this good at home excellent quality and taste.

Tasty food in a lovely outdoor setting! We drove from Phoenix to visit and were delayed because of an accident. We made it about 25 minutes before their new closing time; they were slammed and out of a number of things, but the women still tried to make it a good experience! The place was clean and food was delicious! We’ll be back for sure—

Read that this spot had the best Italian sandwiches around and visited today for lunch. Split the Capo and a meatball sub with my wife. Both were fantastic, and I think the Capo may be an unsung hero of the menu, no pun intended. As an Italian man myself, I would give this little kitchen my highest recommendation. We went around lunchtime on Saturday. There was a line and a decent wait time for food to come out, but it was worth it. Also worth mentioning they were out of a few things, like the Italian Beef by the time we showed up. However, this should be seen as a sign of the quality fresh offerings here with tons of hungry fans, and not a fault of the small kitchen working their hardest. I'll be returning every time I'm back to Pinetop.

So good! We came during winter so couldn't eat outside but enjoyed the sandwiches so much. This is made by two fun women who make everything from scratch so some menus will be sold towards the end of the day. Wanted to try something and they already sold out of it! (Not a bad thing since that means it's that good!!) They man a small little building where you go up to the window and they cook everything in their small quarters. They have seating outside. The parking is small so you'll have to park on some suburban streets if it is busy. I got the Italian Hoagie and my partner got the Meatball Sammie. Love a good cannoli and they had some fun flavors, I got the pistachio pictured here and my partner got the Oreo cannoli which he ate right up! Recommend if you are in this area and would love to see it in the spring/summer to enjoy the outside seating. Very cute and would come again!

I had the pleasure of trying out the Italian Lady's food twice today! For lunch I had an ENORMOUS meatball sub that was easily enough for 2 to 3 people, with perfectly sliced meatballs , provolone and grilled green peppers. probably one of the best meatball subs I have ever had! Then, at the wedding I was working at the beautiful Greenhouse on Woodland, she did a cannoli station for one of the appetizers! so clever and delicious. The guests were able to choose one of 3 fillings and decorate their Cannoli with mini m&ms, shredded coconut, crushed Oreos, etc with a drizzle of chocolate or caramel and a slight dusting of powder sugar! yum, yum!
